Ghoul

A metahuman infected with the Krieger strain of HMHVV. Victims of the disease are transformed into nearly-blind, hairless predators with a distinct preference for the flesh of metahumans or other sentients. Originally considered little better than animals due to the diminished intellect that often accompanies their transformation, ghouls have made great strides in recent years in their fight for tolerance, if not acceptance, by "normal" society. However, some countries still offer bounties on dead ghouls and levy stiff fines against those who render them aid. Like other sufferers of the virus, ghouls are capable of passing their disease on to others.
