The Scandinavian Union (also ScU) consists of the independent countries of Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. The possibility of Iceland or Estonia joining are considered.
The Union is very similar to the old European Union, with a Council of Ministers, with ten ministers from each countries, an Union Parliament (54 members elected for six years), and a Scandinavian Commission holding executive power. The Union is also a single entity regarding international affairs and diplomacy, while borders within the Union are completely open.
It is feared by certain that the Scandinavian Union will quickly become irrelevant as most of its roles arealso handled by the NEEC that the Union joined.
