Ork Street Samurai (Shadowrun)

Adepts use their magic in a radically different way than other Awakened, by channeling magic through their bodies and minds; they do not cast spells or conjure spirits, nor do they typically have access to astral space. Instead, adepts develop powers that improve their physical and mental abilities.

To avoid confusion, the close combat magic specialist is sometimes called a physical adept. This distinguishes them from magic users in general, who may be referred to adepts, and from street samurai who also engage in physical combat but through more mundane (i.e. non-magical) means.
