Arleesh is a female great feathered serpent, who first made herself known publicly circa 2049.[1] She is young by dragon standards, and more active in mortal affairs than Mujaji. Arleesh has devoted herself to protecting the mortal races from Awakened threats of which they are still unaware and unprepared for.[2]
Arleesh made one of her more prominent appearances in the Sixth World when she worked with a shadowrunning team in 2051 to destroy an ancient artifact. This artifact acted as a rating 10 Power Focus, but took a toll on the health and sanity of its user. Arleesh consumed the focus, destroying it.[3] Her activities appear to be piecemeal, undertaking personal quests to address specific Awakened threats instead of establishing a power base. While she shows respect for draconic gatherings and contemporaries, she is idealistic and will speak her mind. Her willingness to act with young races means she is one of the dragons a runner may well encounter if they are involved with some ancient evil or artifact.
Arleesh participated in Lofwyr's attack on Alamais in GeMiTo, along with the great eastern dragon Lung and Lofwyr himself, a small army of shadowrunners and mercenaries, lesser dracoforms and other forces, ending in his death. Her reasons for joining the other great dragon's forces are unknown.[4] The attack occurred in either November 5-6 2074[5] or early spring 2075[4].
