Bellevue is one of the "better" neighbourhood in Seattle, housing high-payed white-collar elite, living in walled, gated and guarded communities.

Geography[]

Bellevue is bordered by Lake Washington to the west and Lake Sammamish to the east. Rolling hills and lakes are common, but there are relatively few remaining forests, as most of the ground is build up.

Eastern border with Redmond Barrens is heavily patrolled, and partially walled up.

Demographics[]

The district is also home to many of the metroplex’s wealthy citizens, who will shell out a lot of cred to keep their homes private and well-protected.

Politics[]

In 2048 mayor Tian C. Campbell was elected. He has been accused of too close ties to the United Corporation Council.

2056-2072: Mayor Daniel Reynolds had seen a rising political career level off. He was a local businessman who ran and beat disgraced Bellevue Mayor Tian Campbell back in 2056, after Campbell’s ties to the Divine Revenge Seoulpa Ring were exposed. He was re-elected easily in 2060, and again in 2064. Partway through his fifth term, Mayor Reynolds tried running for Governor, but later withdrew from the race for “personal reasons,” and some wondered if he would be able to win reelection for a sixth term in 2072.

2076: Jonathan Blake may be the perfect mayor for Bellevue, and he still maintains his sights on a run for governor with that going for it. A lifelong corporate executive he used to run Saeder-Krupp’s shadow operations for decades before jumping ship, aligning with and then divesting himself of ties to the Draco Foundation. He’s made himself popular with the public through his gang crackdowns and liked by the corpers who live and work in the district.

Council-members are falling all over itself to align themselves with him, especially Councilor Cantalicio, whose Lake Vasa district had been home to the Lake Acids before Centurion all but wiped them out. There’s a gadfly named Alonso Solis to watch out for. He’s a Microdeck executive who’s been appointed to various political commissions and initiative for the last few years. He’s a very charismatic individual just looking for the right opportunity to jump the line and seize power.

Economy[]

Most corporations in Bellevue maintain a lower profile than the gleaming glass and chrome towers of the Downtown district.

Ares Macrotechnology, Microdeck, Gaeatronics, and Global Technologies are headquartered here.

A number of computer research and production facilities are present here.
