Blood Mage
Blood Magic is a magical tradition based on the bloodletting or sacrifices, powering magic with lifeforce. Blood magic is seen as a dark path of magic, associated with more twisted and evil magic users.
Blood Magic existed in the times of Earthdawn, when it was developed and employed by the Theran Empire.
In modern world, some traditions (Aztec, Druidic, Voodoo, Theurgy, Wicca) are more likely to be open to Blood Magic than others. Blood Magic is illegal in most places, Aztlan being a notable exception.
Users of Blood Magic have access to special powers, spells and spirits (the Blood Spirits).
