Prison Gangs

List of gangs that are founded and based within a penal system and organizations that have established branches within penal systems. Which may be a prison gang only in the prisons of a metroplex (e.g. Halloweeners of Seattle) or a prison gang that is nationwide in scope (e.g. the Mexican Mafia).

Does NOT include the major organized crime groups which dominate prisons in their home country (e.g. Triads in China or the Vory in Russia). Neither does it include major organized crime groups which may have a big presence in the prisons of a region or city due to their numbers and/or affiliated gangs (e.g. Mafia on the East Coast or the Yakuza on the West Coast).
