Clockwork is a hobgoblin rigger and decker, from either Montenegro or Sarajevo (accounts differ), who often sells prototypes of his custom drones after using them. He also likes big explosions, preferring sabotage runs, accepting wetwork jobs as well. He is a founding member of Jackpoint known for his bigotry and his on-going feud with Netcat, whom he once tried to sell to a MCT for research.
He's well known for being ill-tempered, completely amoral by a shadowrunner's very thin standards and having a twisted sense of humor (on one occasion he used a cream-pie icon, which he slammed into the face of an exec in VR to visualize a deadly black hammer utility). Also he's got a feral, proto-sapient AI as a pet which is visualized by an icon of a furry ball, and was looking for an emergent, trained dog—a mongrel —to track down emergent critters.
History[]
Clockwork was born the only hobgoblin in his family.[1]
He joined a local gang called the Nomads. The Nomads were whipped out by another gang, the Hombres.
After that he left his hometown and started to run the Shadows. At this point he started to dabble with rigging and customizing drones.
Sometime around 2070, his running team disbands and the group's mage, Kit Kat, claims Clockwork sold the team out.[1]
After this point Clockwork began to bounty hunt for MCT and capture technomancers. And in 2075, during CFD he also hunted monads.
Contradiction[]
In Shadowrun: Dragonfall, a Shadowland user using the same name makes several posts to threads the player is capable of observing, some in the present day (2054) and others from the earliest days of the Awakening ("when they weren't even deckers yet, just hackers"); both have the same "Always running? Like clockwork" catchphrase, and the earlier one is stated to have been killed by a weaponized AI. Which, if any, of these three individuals were the same person is unclear.
