The Dayak Council is an island polity in maritime Southeast Asia.
The "state" was born from the Awakening of the rainforests of Borneo and Sulawesi, and the establishment of the Dayak Council by the indigenous animist tribes. The residents of the towns and cities were forced to relocate to either [[Sumatran Alliance|Sumatra} or Java when the Awakened forest took back the land. A few coastal villages were permitted to continue to exist.[1] When the military junta in the Javanese Republic sent its military forces to Borneo and Sulawesi in an attempt to regain control of the provinces, stiff resistance forced them to retreat.[2]
