The Gelsenkirchen Pits is a gang operating in the city of Gelsenkirchen. It is based at the old Schachtanlage Obserschuir (a vast abandoned coal mine) where it has shelters that are partly underground. The gang is heavily armed with automatic weapons and explosive projectiles. It runs protection rackets and conducts raids on neighboring communities, and is allied with the Mafia.
