Guangzhou is a city in the Canton Confederation.
Guangzhou is the capital of the Confederation. It's like sprawls found all over the world in which the lustrous districts are run by the government and megacorps, and the slums are on the outskirts. Controlling the suburban belt for the most part are the Triads who get a sheen of legitimacy with the business fronts they own and corporate security contracts they receive. The peasants live in multi-story ghettos which have been built into the hillsides and valleys, which places them out of sight of the skyscrapers in downtown. [1]
