Hai San Triad

Hai San is a Triad based in Singapore led by Cheng Keng Koii, which is the 2nd oldest crime syndicate in the world (only the White Lotus Society are older).

Activities

The Hai San Triad's main source of income is the trade in drugs from the Golden Triangle. They are also involved in organ harvesting, porn-sims, BTLs, and snuff-sense.

Criminal Network

• Southeast Asia: The Hai San have operations throughout Southeast Asia. They are strongest in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Burma. Like the other Triads its focus is on the Golden Triangle drug trade. It has strongholds in the cities of Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.

Note

As it's based on the historical Hai San, it would mean that this Triad is approximately 300 years old. Making it likely older than the Red Dragon Triad by about a century but much, much younger than the White Lotus Society by half a millennia.

Trivia

The Hai San Society is an actual Triad (also called Kongxi) in Singapore and Malaysia that was founded in the late 18th century and lasted into the 20th century. Like the other Kongxi it ran gambling and prostitution operations in the overseas Chinese communities. It also controlled important mines and imported / ran Chinese labor. It went to war against a rival Chinese Kongxi in the mid 19th century, a conflict which required the British getting involved to mediate the dispute.[1]
