Halley's Comet, named after the astronomer Edmond Halley, is one of the best-known comets in human history. The passing of Halley's Comet in 2061 and 2062 marked a period of tremendous and strange magical activity, including SURGE, the appearance of Shedim, natural orichalcum veins, and the appearance of the great dragon Ghostwalker. In mundane news, Halley's Comet sparked an intercorporate "Probe race", as several megacorps vied to be the first to land a probe on the Comet.
