History

When China broke apart into the warlord states the remaining hardline communists decamped to Henan.

Invaded and occupied the neighbouring province of Shaanxi in 2062.

Politics

Governed by a Neo-Communist regime.

Run by a Neo-Communist government. Invaded neighbouring Shaanxi province. Were preparing to invade Shandong but Lung's intervention at Tai Shan blocked it.

Being hostile to corporations it has attracted a number of anti-corporate policlubs and is believed to provide anti-corporate terrorists with covert support. Among the extremists that have found sanctuary in Henan and have training facilities are GreenWar and the Sons of Sauron.

Culture

The province is home to the Shaolin Temple- birthplace of Zen Buddhism, the Zhungyue Temple- one of the earliest Taoist temples and the Shonyang Academy.
