Incubi (Incubus praetexti) resemble large, land-dwelling octopi with the large domed head, eight powerful tentacles and murderously sharp beak. However, the resemblance ends at the physical, since the incubus is a skilled urban predator and its main prey is metahumans.
Using its paranormal abilities of projecting illusions of the prey's deepest desires, it entices the victim to within reach of its tentacles, then secures the prey for rending with its beak. It tends to hunt nocturnally, but also thrives in the deep darkness of urban sewers.
