The Itami-gumi is a Yakuza syndicate based in the Chicago sprawl.
The Itami gang was led by Itami and his sons. It was expanding its operations in Chicago and challenging the Mafia. During the early to mid 2050s, it successfully moved against the Mafia in the local construction industry and unsuccessfully attempted to seize control of the Cell Works company.
NOTE: it's likely that due to the Bug infestation and the quarantine that followed, it no longer exists being one of the crime outfits that was decimated or annihilated by the mob war that erupted among the Mafia, Yakuza, and Triads of Chicago within the quarantine zone and/or the insect spirits themselves.
