The Jewish Syndicates are Jewish-American criminal syndicates in North America.

Background[]

The Jewish Mob was the Jewish-American organized crime which had formed in the United States by Prohibition, consisting of various Jewish crime syndicates. When magic returned to the world with a vengeance in the Awakening, the La Cosa Nostra took advantage of the chaos and opened its doors to the smaller criminal outfits. Most of the Jewish-American syndicates joined the new multi-ethnic Mafia.[1][2] They were either absorbed into one of the 12 major families or became one of the 100+ minor families and associated groups.[3][4]

Currently there are Jewish-American crime families in at least two locations, the San Francisco Bay Area (the Worczek Family) and in the city of New York City.[5][6] The former was nearly annihilated by the Yakuza during the Japanese occupation and are a pale shadow of what they used to be.[7] They still have a presence in the East Bay and have operations near Redding in northwestern California.[8][9] Nothing of note about the Jewish crime families in New York City has been reported yet, but it's nearly a guarantee that they answer to one of the Five Families.

Due to where Jewish-Americans were concentrated and the location of historically documented Jewish-American syndicates, any independent Jewish-American ethnic mafias which still exist or Jewish-American crime families that are part of the American Mafia would most likely be located in the UCAS (NY City & Chicago), the Pueblo Corporate Council (Los Angeles), and the CAS (Miami, Orlando, and Tampa Bay).

Trivia[]

By the late 20th century the Jewish Mob had ceased to exist in the United States. While it rivaled the power of the Italians during the 1920s-1940s, due to the generally speaking upward mobility of the Jewish-American community and the lack of a new wave of poor Jewish immigrants, they went into decline and the few remaining Jewish syndicates became auxiliaries / vassals of whatever Italian-American crime family dominated in their city. Eventually they disappeared from the American underworld.
