The Karewitsch Vory is a Russian syndicate based in the city of Berlin in the Allied German States.
The Karewitsch Vory broke away from the Gargari Organizatsi in 2043 after the incarceration of Pyotr Gargari. Led by Vladimir Karevich, joined the Mafia under the Italian Gasperi family. During the 2060 embargo of Berlin, he smuggled food and heavy weapons into the city, becoming a hero to many in the sprawl.
In 2064 Pyotr Gargari got out of prison and started a war with Gasperis and those who had left his organization. The Karewitsch Vory lost many men and submitted to Gargari, who had Vladimir Karevich beaten, humiliated, and demoted. Vladimir then broke away from the Gargari again and allied his group with the Lobatchevski Syndicate of St.Petersburg.
Ever since the Karewitsch Vory have been at war with the Gargari and their allies the Cherkezov Organizatsi. Many of the attacks they have inflicted on each other in Berlin have been mistakenly attributed to neo-anarchist terrorists by the media. The Karewitsch core business is dealing in weapons, industrial equipment, and computer electronics.
