The Korean Unification War also known as the Second Korean War was a war on the Korean peninsula in 2005-2006.[1]

The Korean Unification War originated due to the assassination of the president of South Korea by a communist dissident. General Yoon whom was backed by Japan seized power and invaded North Korea in 2005. The North Koreans unsuccessfully attempted to knock Japan out of the conflict by nuking them, but the weapons failed to detonate. In 2006, North Korea was defeated and the peninsula united.[2]

South Korean forces were backed up by the Japanese.[3]
