After President Elias Khouri dies in a suspicious car accident, Prime Minister Abdul Karami 'invited' Syrian peace-keepers into the country, upsetting large segments of the population- particularly the Shi'ites and Christians.[3]

Politics[edit | edit source]

Large centre for espionage. Considered to be a convenient backdoor into Arabia used by the Israeli and into Israel used by the NIJ and IUM.[3]

Primary Arabian shipping port into the Middle East with the Big Ten and Eurocorps having a presence here.[3]
