Lobatchsevski (operations)
The Lobatchevski Syndicate are a Russian Vory group located in the Scandinavian Union.
The Syndicate[]
The Lobatchevski Syndicate is the oldest, meanest, and biggest Vory group in Europe. Which was linked to the Vory in Moscow and Kiev for half a century. It was structured like a corporation with a solid hierarchy, effective management at the top, communication centers, and local cells. Making them extremely inventive and efficient. They run transcontinental smuggling networks and protection rackets, and are involved into fraud, corporate infiltration, and technology theft.[1] It is also runs a major human syndicate, importing women (Natashas) and men (Sputniks), mostly human and elf, who are forced to work in the sex trade. Bringing them from the sprawls of Russia in addition to Yakut, Mongolia, the Baltic States, Turkestan, and the Balkans.[2] They operate bunraku-type brothels and stage underground pit-fights.[3][4]
Recent Events[]
From 2064 to 2072, they were led by Luka Jankevitch until he was assassinated by Chimera in 2072. Up until Jankevitch's assassination, the Scandinavian Vory sided with the Moscow Vory or "Red" Vory, instead of the St. Petersburg Vory or "White" Vory. In the aftermath, the syndicate has found itself more closely tied to St. Petersburg and the "White" Vory.[5]
Speaking of the previous leadership of the Lobatchevski Syndicate, Shadowrunner Gorky states: "[Jankevitch] ... deliberately ignores the St. Petersburg Vory. This pisses them off no end[.]"[6] The syndicate has also expanded into the city of Hamburg in northern Germany and has operations in the northern part of Britain.[7][6]
