Long Beach is a district in Los Angeles
The airport is still standing despite the earthquakes and flooding due to it being fortified before the "Twins" earthquake. Huge freeways were built over the seawalls and stretch toward the city's core. The seawalls themselves are heavily armed and on the island are steel high rises, industrial port complexes, and of course an extremely busy sea port.[1]
