The March 1919 (M1919) policlub is a Korean student movement of nationalists. Their goal is to topple the current administration in Korea, believing it to be a puppet state for Japan.
The movement is actively suppressed by Korean authorities, and the repression and frequent police raids have taught M1919 members to be nimble, as well as causing them to harden and radicalize. These conditions make M1919 fertile recruiting ground for more serious organizations.
Korea is known to be a nation more connected to the Matrix than any other on Earth, making Korea a breeding ground for the best Deckers and Technomancers in the business, and implicitly giving M1919 a disproportionately thick concentration of hackers. This confluence of circumstances has given M1919 connections to some of the more infamous Matrix terrorist organizations, such as Ex Pacis and Seed.
