Netcat is a female Elven Technomancer and founding member of Jackpoint. After she admitted her powers on the VPN, Clockwork tried to sell her to corporate interests.

She's known for a friendly rivalry with the young hacker—former decker—Slamm-0!.
She has a friendly relationship with the female combat hacker Pistons, who looked after her meat body while she did a virtual quest for the resonance realms. Later, she started a search for the former Otaku Puck, which led her (and Pistons) to GeMiTo in the Italian Confederation and from there even to Afghanistan.
She and Slamm-0! fell in love; she became pregnant and gave birth to a son, named Jack.
