Picture from Paranormal Animals of North America |
The Piasma (Ursus piasma) bear is a well-developed predator originating from its non-Awakened progenitor, the American black bear (Ursus americanus). Resembling a large version of its cousin, it prefers strength over speed, and it has a pair of powerful tusks that it uses much like a boar's. Unlike it's progenitor, however, the piasma is a strict carnivore, hunting live prey and has been known to attack metahumans and drag their carcasses back to their lairs.
