The Republic of Modena (Italian: Repubblica di Modena) is one of the various member states of the Italian Confederation.
The capital is the city of Modena, which gave the republic its name.
History[]
Before the Republic of Italy finally colapsed in 2036, the Province of Modena (as well as the Province of Ferrara) was just a piece of the Emilia Romagna region and - of course - sightly smaller than the Republic of today.
Geography[]
The Republic of Modena has a north western border to the rather chaotic territory of GeMiTo, and a short coastal area to the Mediterranean Sea in the west. Its neighbor to the north is the Lombardia, in the East lies the Republic of Ferrara and the Emilia Romagna and the south the Republic of Tuscany.
