The Rhine-Ruhr-Megaplex (Rhine-Ruhr) dominates the most populous state of the AGS, North Rhine-Ruhr, and occupies most of its area. It is a melting pot of various cultures. The local dialect is called Ruhrspeak and is a mixture of German, Polish, Turkish, Russian and a few other languages, which makes it difficult for anyone to speak standard german ("Hochdeutsch"), although most inhabitants are proficient in it as well.
Infrastructure[]
The Rhine-Ruhr Plex has an excellent infrastructure, which is well developed not only in the inner city but also between the cities. This is, however, constantly overloaded and traffic jams are not a rarity. Although the cities that form the Megaplex have grown together and thus form a common urban space, they still remain independent political units.
Underworld[]
In the sprawl, organized crime syndicates are active. The true power though are not syndicates but the gangs. Their power is so complete, that every year they hold a "tournament" in which 1000s of gang members participate.[1]
