Saber-tooth Cats (Felis novalis) are awakened cats derived from the common cougar and mountain lion cats. Physically, they are almost identical to their non-Awakened brethren, save for the greatly enlarged canine teeth that protrude from the cat's upper jaws. Behaviorally, the cats do not resemble their cousins at all, going out of their way to attack any prey that wanders into its territory, including metahumans or larger creatures.
