The goat-like Satyr (Capra satyrus), not to be confused with the Ork variant, is a peaceful herbivore that live in hilly, rocky habitats of southern habitats. They are bipedal creatures, with great shaggy coats, and the powerful curved horns seen on most mountain rams. They abhor even the mildest water pollutants, and will warn any other satyrs away from a polluted area. Although not documented as sentient, they communicate with each other with a wide range of simple whistles and such.
Interesting enough, their saliva excretes a certain enzyme that, when mixed with fruit that the satyr will crush in a small hollow rock, will ferment into powerful alcoholic brews that the satyrs great fondness for.
