Shadowrun Edge Zone is an upgradable card game, similar to Fantasy Flight's Living Card Game model. The rules are extremely similar to the original Shadowrun TCG with a few minor tweaks, a few new cards, and a few cards had their names and art work changed.
Edge Zone launched it's kickstarter page on September 20, 2022. It was funded within 42 minutes of launching.[1] It ultimately raised $125,201.
The game uses the same card back as the TCG and is meant to be backwards compatible with the original game.
Between the two box sets there are a total of 696 cards.
Changes Between the TCG and Edge Zone[]
- Specific cards are limited to 3 in Edge Zone. (TCG limited it to 4).
- During the Credstick phase, players receive 5 nuyen. (TCG it was 4 nuyen)
- Objective cards are unique.
- Prime Runners cards are unique.
