Spetsnaz

The Spetsnaz (Spetsialnogo Naznacheniya) are the special forces of the Russian Army.

The Spetsnaz are specialists in unconventional warfare, as in black ops, low-intensity conflicts, and guerrilla tactics. Their mission is to go deep behind enemy lines, attacking high-value targets (e.g. airfields, power plants, command centers, and nuclear stockpiles). Waging a diversionary terror campaign to distract and confuse the enemy government is the secondary mission.

Spetsnaz commandos don't go for obvious augmentation such as body armor or cyberlimbs, preferring the less conspicuous kind as their objective is to blend in with the crowd. Therefore bioware is a favorite among the Spetsnaz and adepts are favored by Spetsnaz recruiters.
