The St. Petersburg Vory are the Vory syndicates based in the city of St. Petersburg in Russia.
Due to its location on the Baltic Sea, the Vory of St. Petersburg have traditionally looked towards Europe and their pull on the European Vory rivals that of the Moscow Vory. Many of them answer to St. Petersburg first, except for most powerful European Vory of the Lobatchevski Syndicate whom were aligned with Moscow.[1]
The most powerful of that city's Vory is Vasily Romanenko. He never liked it that the Scandinavian Vory were with Moscow. When the Alta Commissione united the various the European Mafias, St. Petersburg called for support from the Vory in other cities but was declined the requested support.[1]
When the Moscow Vory turned their attention to domestic politics, it gave the St. Petersburg Vory the chance to change the situation with the Scandinavian Vory. The assassins of Chimera eliminated the leader of the Lobatchevski Syndicate, and now the they look toward St. Petersburg first.[2]
