Talis Cats (Felis mutabilis) are creatures with two forms, a small tabby housecat and a fast, powerful plains cat (resembling a cheetah with tabby markings). The large “plains cat” form is apparently an illusion projected by the Talis Cat, but it also confers magically enhanced strength and speed on the Talis Cat, making it an effective hunter. The illusion was discovered in 2049 when a paranaturalist filmed the Talis Cat hunting a boar, and the filmed version showed only the tabby form taking down a wild boar many times its size. Talis Cats have been known to hunt metahumans in urban areas, and are considered to be dangerous predators.
