Was there some official source for France having the highest GDP I can find, including Germany and UCAS? The description of France includes this line: "Germany views France as an economic deadweight" --msde 21:14, 12 Oct 2004 (Eastern Daylight Time)
GDP per capita and population are given in Shadows of North America and Shadows of Europe, and total GDP can be thus easily calculated: France GDP is 2.13 trillion, Germany 3.19 and UCAS 4.816. For GDP per capita, the German one is higher at 32,000¥ if you take the latest number from Shadows of Europe. Besides, for Switzerland it's 31,000¥ and for Sweden 41,000¥. --Nath 09:59, 13 Oct 2004 (Eastern Daylight Time)
There are some errors in that page is it from a game source (and therefore to be left as is) or not?
For example the ministry of foreign affairs is known as "Le quai d'Orsay" or simply "Le quai" today (as Paris Police headquarter was "Le quai des orfèvres" or "le 36" since it was 36, Quai des orfèvres, since then it's been moved to "le Bastion" at 36, Rue de Bastion. They kept the 36 on purpose).
Same way the defense ministry was "Hôtel de Brienne" which is the name of the building rather than it's adress. Today it's been moved to "Balard" or "Balard polygone" or "Hexagon" if used sarcastically, which is both the military headquarters and the defense ministry (and a gigantic building, Pentagon style). https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/8c/Hexagone_Balard_%40_Ballon_de_Paris_%40_Parc_Andr%C3%A9_Citro%C3%ABn_%40_Paris_%2828745446201%29.jpg
French DGSE (Intelligence service) headquarters is known as "la piscine" (the swiming pool) as it was near to the old municipal swimming pool (it's not there anymore but it sticks for the reason it was theirs in the first place, sounds both nice in french and ominous).

Actually the whole paragraph is not grounded in Shadowrun Lore. I think somebody copy'n'paste some infos from a wiki on (actual) France. The source of thruth, when it comes to France, remains Shadows of Europe, where Paris is covered with just a few paragraphs, certainly not going in the details of this section. Beyond Shadows of Europe, the other 'canon' material is the french addons in Ghost Cartel, Corporate Enclave (and so on) for 4ed. In a few months, Shadows of Paris will come out (in France) and will update the setting of the country quite a lot. I plan to update, or even rehaul, this wikipage according to its content (for instance, the Bastion vs 36 Quai d'Orsay is adressed in it). For the time being, I will leave those approximate statement, as they can not be replaced by something more canon.
