Here's an example of an error in the book. Bison bonasus, or wikipedia:Wisent, never died out. They were endangered, but they are still around - in the wild and and in the zoos (mostly in Poland). --Piotrus 23:55, 28 April 2009 (EDT)
Wisent v aurochs[edit source]
The error seems to be FASA's use of the wrong taxnomy. The wisent (bison bonasus) is indeed still alive and kicking. The aurochs (bos primigenius), however, did go extinct in 1627. FASA just conflated the two species of bovine.
