The Triad-Yakuza War is an ongoing conflict between the Lung-affiliated Triads and the Ryumyo-affiliated Yakuza, starting in 2021.
Origin[]
The syndicates controlled by the Great Dragons Lung and Ryumyo have been warring with each other since 2021. Which is when the Triads began to expand into neighboring countries where they took over criminal markets and absorbed the smaller local Triads. When they expanded into countries that already had a Yakuza presence, turf wars began between the two criminal networks.[1]
Turf Wars[]
Mob wars have occurred or are happening in Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, the Philippines, Oceania, the Pacific Northwest (Seattle), and now even in Japan (Neo-Tokyo). Though the Yakuza has had its victories, the Triads have steadily been gaining ground on the Yakuza, most surprisingly in their stronghold and home itself (Japan).[1][2][3]
Great Dragon Civil War[]
During the Great Dragon Civil War of 2074-2075, the Great Dragons Ryumyo and Lung used their Yakuza and Triad affiliates as proxies. Violence between the Triads and Yakuza tripled in the Pacific Rim.[4] The clashes between the two were often brutal, resulting in the deaths of hundreds.[5]
