Tulsa International City[]

Tulsa International City (formerly the Mid Continent Exclusion and Containment Zone) is a city state located at the nexus of the CAS, UCAS, and the NAN. Due to its proximity to those nations, and its own lack of political clout in comparison to the power players, Tulsa and the surrounding territory were assigned as a dump site for those displaced, deported, and disliked. In addition to people, this district was also chosen as the toxic dumpsite of the entire region, including the NAN and UCAS. In a surprise move, thanks in large part to the flood of new residents which included many talented scientists, academics, engineers, and skilled workers, the city was able to build enough political might to eventually establish itself as an influential political entity and major regional power player. The Cherokee, Muskoke, Euchee, Osage, Pawnee, Qwa Pa, all combined military and magical might to bring all factions to the peace conference held at the Council Oak, which had regrown overnight at the very spot south of Tulsa's old downtown. The treaty that resulted not only granted Tulsa almost complete independance, while the involved Indian nations formed a coalition comittee that would maintain overall authority except for Tulsa Metro, but included enough surrounding lands to allow Tulsa to sustain itself. Once the dust finally settled, Tulsa would have a metropolitan population of over 1.6 million people of all aspects of humanity. The cost was that the city was to maintain the already established toxic waste sites as the dumping ground for their Indian authorities and remain a refugee city for those not of significant native descent who continue to be purged from Indian lands.
