The Wodewose (Cebus wodewosnis) is the Awakened version of the capuchin monkey (Cebus capucinus). Unlike the capuchin monkey, the wodewose does not have a prehensile tail, and appears as a small but exceptionally well-muscled primate about 1 meter tall and weighing about 50 kilograms. It is covered in short black fur, and its hands and feet are clawed. Its teeth are oversized compared to its mouth.
The wodewose in an arboreal carnivore that feeds on eggs, birds, and small mammals. They live in tightly-knit tribal communities similar to baboon tribes. It is likely that the wodewose arose from the base population of capuchin monkeys released from experimental labs by animal rights activists. The lifespan of a wodewose is unknown, but enzymological studies indicate that it may be as long-lived as dwarves or even elves. Wodewoses are commonly found in Aztlan, southern California, and the CAS.
Wodewose are often carriers of a dormant virus similar to VITAS-3, making them a public health hazard risk.
