From the "Horrors" Earthdawn sourcebook
Ysrthgrathe was a Horror with a deep connection to the immortal elf Aina. As most horrors it fed off the pain of its marked victims. In the case of Ysrthgrathe this connection was often twisted to the point where the Horror would protect its victims from others to maintain the relationship.
