The Zombies are a go-gang based in Denver.
Overview[]
The Zombies are a gang with a macabre / heroin chic look who wear drab grey clothes. It's a nomadic gang that has no territory. The gang simply drives around in a yellow school bus which has been pimped out, along with a smattering of other vehicles. Wherever the bus stops, that's the turf that they claim for that day, night, or week.
Zombies are involved in the distribution of BTLs, which they get supplied with by the Mafia. The gang is led by Romero, a skinny Ork who sports harlequin makeup. The gang may sometimes share free drugs with the local gang and/or citizens, but other times the gangs goes for intimidation by crashing into vehicles and daring anyone to do something about it.[1]
Siege of Denver[]
In the lead up to the Siege of Denver in 2074, the Zombies were supplied with tech and firepower by an unknown backer with deep financial resources. The Zombies then practically wiped out Denver's top gang, the Godz, often in brutal ways.[2] After which they waged a war of terror on the Zone Defense Force. Their checkpoints and patrol vehicles came under concentrated, numerous, and shockingly successful terror attacks. As the Zombies used improvised explosive devices (with military-grade type explosives) and hit-and-run tactics resulting in a significant number of civilian casualties as well as collateral damage.[3]
Due to the geographical spread, number, and frequency of the attacks it's speculated that the Zombies had found a powerful backer. Though a hardcore gang of psychos, they previously lacked the manpower and firepower. The police and ZDF struck back at the Zombies but failed to find the leader Romero or the regular members, only finding hanger-ons and wannabes (some of whom came out in body bags). As of the end of the siege, the Zombies appear finished.[4][5]
